Delta airline is one of the leading airlines in the United States. This paper tries to examine the use of the information systems in the Delta airlines. In 2014, Delta has bought two in-house technical platforms for the company including the reservation systems and the flight operation systems from the renowned tech-company Travelport. By doing so, the company was able to access and control its data using different technical appliances. Delta named its reservation and passenger service as Deltamatic that deals with the passenger reservation, check-in and baggage management (Rice, 2014).
